 This pattern is so popular, we were recently asked to repeat our original Mystery Sock knit-along so more people could enjoy it!
These Social Butterfly Socks feature a beautiful beaded-lace design that will have you fluttering through your favorite flower gardens. The toe-up design includes a yarn over short row heel, and is written for a medium width foot (the foot length is established by the knitter).
Five of our most popular Sock-aholic yarn colorways have been paired with beautiful glittering Czechoslovakian glass Rocaille beads for this project. The five colorways are (shown left to right in the above photo): Sorority Party Pink, Designated Driver, Fuzzy Navel, Purple Hooter, and Lemon Drop.
The kit contains:
- One skein of yarn, approximately 480 yards, in your choice of five colorways
- Approximately 220 coordinating size 6/0 beads (about 10% more than is needed for the pair of socks)
- The complete Mystery Sock I: Social Butterfly Pattern
The gauge for this project is 36 sts and 46 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch. The recommended needle size is US 1.
