Bridge of Roses KAL

Join us for the Bridge of Roses Gloves and Mitts KALbor2.jpg

Now Through July 27th!

Our popular Sock design is now available as Gloves and Mitts!  Join us to make either style (or the socks, if you prefer) and you might even win a prize!

Description:  Brighten your cold and dreary winter months with a cheerful bouquet of roses!  This design begins with a provisional cast on, uses twisted sts to create an elegant, vine-encircled column, and finishes with perpendicularly knit lace edging.  After knitting, the roses are added using two embroidery techniques also described in this pattern.  Make them full-fingered, semi-fingered, or as mitts - all instructions are provided.

No yarn purchase is required to participate in the KAL, but kits are available for $26 in your choice of 32 colors and two yarn bases by scrolling below. Or, if you prefer to visit your stash, you can download the pattern to your Ravelry library.

  3. A pretty Rose stitch marker to commemorate your KAL participation  :-)

  4. Standard knitting tools will be used, plus a few stitch markers, some waste yarn, and a darning needle for the embroidery.
  5. Our KAL will be using the Bridge of Roses Gloves and Mitts pattern by Wendy Gaal which comes with the KAL kit, or is available as a Ravelry download by Clicking Here.
  6. We have prepared a selection of video tutorials for this KAL that might be helpful with any techniques that are new to you.  Click Here to find that video tutorial thread on Ravelry.
